RDB (Rifle, Downward-ejection, Bullpup) is an extremely interesting ASG assault rifle, manufactured by the ARES brand, under a license from the American Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc. company - the manufacturer of the original firearm. This manufacturer is widely recognized, not only on the military, but also on the civilian market due to, among other things, original designs such as the KSG shotgun or the CP33 pistol. The RDB rifle itself is a development of another bull-pup weapon from the Kel-tec catalog, i.e. RFB.
The rifle is designed in a bull-pup setup, providing high maneuverability and mobility and relatively compact dimensions, despite a very long and effective barrel. Like the firearm prototype, ARES"s Kel-tec RDB is made mostly of a thick polymer material, reinforced with nylon fibers. Metal elements include the breech chamber, outer barrel, upper RIS rail, gas pipe replica and manipulators, while the muzzle device, sling hooks and magazine release are made of steel. The hop-up system adjustment knob is located inside the magazine socket and the battery is placed under the front grip (DEANS / T-connect plug).
The airsoft rifle is powered by a dedicated ARES E.F.C.S. gearbox. with programmable MOSFET unit and microswitch equipped trigger. Add to that the powerful High Torque motor and the already mentioned, 430 mm long inner barrel and we get the Kel-Tec RDB - a very effective and versatile airsoft rifle, which will prove itself both in forest and in urban or CQB scenarios.
